  • Can I stand on the footrest instead of sitting on the seat?

    No, the footrest on the stair lift is not intended to carry the full weight of the user, nor is it safe to ride the lift in a standing position. Always use your stair lift according to instructions as outlined in your owner's manual.
  • How much weight can a stair lift hold?

  • What are the safety features on a stair lift?

  • Is a stair lift difficult to operate?

    A stair lift is very easy to operate, and is controlled by a simple, easy to use toggle switch on the right or left side armrest, depending upon your preference. When pressure is applied to the toggle switch, the stair lift will gently begin to move and will stop immediately when pressure is removed from the toggle switch, if the safety sensors meet an obstruction, or when the stair lift reaches the top or bottom landing.
  • How long do stair lift batteries last?

    With the stair lift, you can expect 20 to 40 trips between charges, depending on the length of the stair lift, the angle (steepness) of the track, and the weight of the rider. Additionally, you can expect your maintenance free batteries to have a lifetime of one to two years before needing replacement.
