  • What happens to my power chair if I go to a nursing home?

With the new Medicare guidelines, power chairs are rented over a 13-month period. Medicare will not continue to pay for the rental of a power mobility device if the Medicare beneficiary is admitted to one of the following facilities or programs:
    • Hospital
    • Skilled Nursing Facility
    • Rehabilitation Facility
    • Hospice

Should you be admitted to one of these facilities or programs before the 13-month rental is complete, please call Hoveround immediately at 1-800-96-HOVER to make arrangements for us to pick up the equipment.

  • How do I know when my parent or grandparent needs a Hoveround power wheelchair or mobility scooter?

Every circumstance is unique to each individual, but Hoveround Mobility Specialists are trained to guide you through the process to learn how you might be able to help your loved one.

You will definitely want to have an honest conversation with your parent or grandparent about your concerns and your desire to help them maintain the independent lifestyle that a Hoveround power wheelchair can provide. If everyone agrees that it might be time to take a closer look into the Hoveround mobility advantage, your next step is as simple as picking up the phone to call 1-800-542-7236, sending us an email or filling out asimple online request form
