For the most part, your mobility vehicle's battery charger is relatively easy and safe to use. But, a battery charger is still a piece of electrical equipment. Problems may arise which could potentially interfere with successfully charging up your batteries.

Some Common Problems with Battery Chargers
Your battery charger should give you consistent and reliable charging capabilities for quite some time. But any problem deserves to be taken seriously, because it could be a sign of an electrical malfunction or an indication that you might have a defective charger.
If battery charger troubleshooting efforts fail to get the charger working properly, contact the supplier of your power chair or power scooter for further advice.
Internal Fan Malfunction: Battery chargers ordinarily have an internal fan which keeps the electrical components from overheating. When it is operating normally, the fan light goes on, and the fan may make a humming sound.3-stage automatic battery charger for AGM sealed lead acid batteries If the fan does not automatically turn on, or if you don't hear the fan humming, stop using the charger and disconnect it from your power vehicle. Refer to the charger manual for further directions.
Battery Charger Light Malfunction<br><sup>1</sup>: There are 1, 2 or 3 small LED lights on your charger that will either light steadily, flash or blink when your battery charger is turned on and functioning as it should. If the lights do not operate while the charger is plugged in and connected, you should stop using the charger and disconnect it from your mobility device battery. Refer to the charger manual and follow the instructions.
