Hoveround Launches HMS
Bradenton, Florida, March 25, 2024 — Hoveround, a premier national medical equipment device company, specializing in power mobility devices and home accessibility products in more than 40 states, is proud to officially announce the launch of Hoveround Mobility Solutions (HMS). Through HMS, Hoveround, its Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) and Complex Rehab Technology Team (CRTs) will work closely with physicians and physical/occupational therapists in the selection of the most appropriate complex rehab technology to fit the client’s power mobility needs.
HMS is focused on custom rehab power wheelchairs, adaptive seating systems, alternative positioning systems, and mobility devices requiring evaluation, fitting, configuration, adjustment and/or programming. All equipment will be custom ordered to optimize the customers’ function and independence.
“For over 30 years, Hoveround has been committed to providing mobility independence on a national level to our customers. Expanding operations into complex rehab makes sense. We want our customers to know that we are there for them as their conditions and mobility limitations change over time. Not only is Hoveround dedicated to providing high quality products to our customers, but we are dedicated to providing service, repair, and replacement for the products we sell,” said Adam Frerichs, CEO for Hoveround.
Further, “At Hoveround, we have a dedicated team of professionals that are constantly looking for ways to enhance people’s quality of life by increasing their mobility independence. Hoveround will now distribute complex rehab mobility solutions from industry leading manufacturers like Permobil, Sunrise, and Merits. We will all work together with our patients and their clinicians, to deliver and service high quality complex rehab products and services.”
“We have been fortunate in establishing distribution partnerships with some of the biggest names in CRT manufacturing. Our partners have been incredibly supportive of the HMS vision of providing a world-class client experience from initial evaluation to delivery and beyond with service. Our national field of Rehab Technology Specialists (RTS) have proven to be one of the best in the business. They will allow us to extend our outstanding delivery and service experience to our new CRT clientele. This team, along with our ATPs and internal CRT team, will help us engineer and execute the most efficient and client-centric product and service offering in the industry,” said Issac Ortiz, Vice President of Field Operations for Hoveround.
Vern Nielsen, ATP, Director of Complex Rehab at Hoveround adds, “Hoveround is set to revolutionize the industry by incorporating clinically driven ATPs into its team. Recognizing the pivotal role of ATPs in determining the most suitable mobility solutions for individuals with complex needs, Hoveround is cultivating a culture that actively invites ATPs to join its CRT Team. This initiative aims not only to enhance product selection through clinical expertise but also to foster a collaborative environment dedicated to improving the lives of clients.”
