Many mobility products allow you to regain your independence. To select the best one, take the time to consider your physical needs, how and where you will be using your new electric wheel chair or electric scooter. Compare product features and service. Most importantly, ask the right questions. Here are a few questions that will help you find the electric wheelchair or electric scooter that best meets your mobility needs:

Is the company selling your electric wheelchair the same company that manufactures and services it?
Most motorized wheelchairs and motorized scooters are sold through a dealer or middleman. Dealers offer several products from several different manufacturers. This limits their knowledge on the parts and service of specific electric wheel chairs or electric scooters. Also, if you have a problem with your power wheelchair you may have to contact both the manufacturer and the dealer to solve it. We only offer Hoveround mobility products serviced by Hoveround-trained staff that are intimately familiar with every Hoveround component and accessory.

What happens if you are dissatisfied with your purchase? What is the company’s refund policy?
We want Hoveround customers to be completely satisfied with their electric wheelchair or mobility scooter. That’s why we offer the 30-day Money Back Guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with your Hoveround electric wheelchair or mobility scooter for any reason, we will pick up the electric wheel chair or electric scooter and provide a full refund.3

How will you get your mobility equipment and products serviced?
We have service throughout most of the United States so if you relocate or are out of town, you will still have access to Hoveround service.2

If your chair is being repaired or serviced for an extended period, will the power chair company provide a loaner?
After you become accustomed to getting around in your new electric wheel chair or electric scooter, you won’t want to be without it - even for a day. That’s why we have the "Never Without Wheels" Guarantee. If your electric wheelchair ever requires extended service, we promise to supply you with a temporary replacement equipment until your power chair is repaired.3 Most repairs are completed in the comfort of your own home within one service visit. Still, it is comforting to know that if you ever need extended service -- you will always have a Hoveround electric wheelchair available for your use. Our competitors often leave their customers who need power chair repairs without a power chair for several days and in some cases weeks. That’s because they use subcontractors (non-company employees) to make in-home service visits. Subcontractors work for a variety of power wheelchair manufacturers. This also makes it difficult to stock parts for all of the possible service and repairs. Often, necessary parts have to be ordered. Then, a follow-up visit is scheduled to make the repairs. This is a lengthy repair process that leaves you stranded in the meantime.

How will the power wheelchair be configured to your height and weight specifications?
You will be spending a lot of time in your electric wheelchair so you want to make sure it fits properly so it’s as supportive as possible. We measure your torso, arms and legs to create the perfect seat height. We also measure your home's entryways and hallways to ensure that you can maneuver your electric wheel easily throughout your home. Our team has years of experience providing HOVEROUND CUSTOM FIT mobility products that comfortably improve mobility. Your comfort is our top priority.
How long has the power chair company been selling the brand you are considering purchasing?
Often electric wheelchair dealers will sell different brands at different times. This creates service hassles when you need service or accessories for a brand they no longer carry. It also means that the company staff is not as knowledgeable about specific brands as the products often change. At Hoveround, we only carry Hoveround electric wheelchairs and electric scooters. We’ve been building, selling and serving Hoveround products for over 15 years. Our staff can focus intently on one brand line as opposed to studying many brands, but only having vague knowledge about specific brands. In addition, with Hoveround you never have to worry about your electric wheel chair brand being discontinued.
How durable is the electric wheelchair?

Is a warranty included with your purchase? If so, what is included in the warranty?
All Hoveround electric wheelchairs and electric scooters come with a one-year limited warranty. During this one-year period, we will repair your Hoveround if it's defective in any way, at no cost to you. Read the Hoveround Warranty for more information.
